Founded in 2005 by Yianna Tsolaki whose vision was to introduce fresh innovative designers to the local market. Since then both local and foreign designers of various disciplines have showcased and been promoted through Cherry Occasions.

Although mainly focusing on furniture and fittings, it remains open to introducing eye catching items as the ‘reality of our times is an unstructured world popularized by capable individuals’.

Concepts introduced and materials used in the designs need to evoke the senses – emotion and imagination is not a department – it’s a philosophy – an attitude. Yianna Tsolaki being a keen follower of the Funky Business Movement – initiated by the Stockholm School of Economics Academics Kjell Nordstrom and Jonas Ridderstale she stands firmly by their teachings that in the world of today ‘the only thing that makes capital dance is talent’.
